Dropped $60 on an intervalometer for my DSLR and it beat my $300 autoguider for wide field shots
I was fighting star trails on 2 minute subs at my dark site near Bend and grabbed a cheap Neewer one just to test. Turns out my problem was the autoguider fighting my polar alignment, and the little $60 box nailed 4 minute exposures clean. Anyone else get better results ditching the fancy gear for the simple stuff?

My Neewer died after 3 nights but those 3 nights were magic.
