Fog rolled in on my Andromeda shot at Cherry Springs and I almost packed up early
Drove 3 hours to Cherry Springs State Park two Saturdays ago for a clear new moon and got maybe 40 good frames before the fog swallowed the whole field. I stuck it out another hour and ended up with 12 keepers once it cleared around 2am, which stacked into the best M31 I've gotten yet. Lesson learned, always check the dew point, not just the cloud forecast. Anyone else get surprised by ground fog at a dark site?
