Took stacking advice from a random commenter, got real results

Someone in last month's thread said to try 50 frames with dark flats instead of my usual 30, so I gave it a shot on the Orion nebula from my backyard in Tucson. The noise drop was obvious, the detail in the dust lanes actually showed up. Has anyone else found that going well past the 'recommended' frame count makes that big a difference?
