Am I the only one who got schooled on primer by a painter with 30 years in?
Was chatting with Ray, the old painter who does the fleet trucks at a shop off Route 9 in Poughkeepsie, and he said most of us rush the flash time and blame the product when the peel shows up. He said wait 20 minutes at 70 degrees, not the 10 I'd been doing, and said "the clock is free, the redo isn't." I tried it on a Civic bumper last week and the finish laid out way flatter. Do you guys go by feel or actually time your flash windows?
