Debate: Waterborne paint vs solvent on a 2018 Ford Focus I did last week

I did a Focus about that same year and the guy kept asking if the waterborne would bubble in the sun. Told him it's 2018 not 1978.

and that's exactly what I told my buddy when he was doing a waterborne job last summer. @ben402 it's wild how some people still act like it's the dark ages of paint. He had this old school painter tell him the same thing, asking if he was gonna have to buff the whole car in a year. I mean, my friend just laughed and said "it's 2018 not 1978 too" and showed him the bottle. The guy was just stuck in his ways, you know? But yeah, the stuff is totally fine now, it's not gonna bubble or peel if you do it right.
