Fixed a Honda Accord today that taught me something about filler

Had a 2012 Accord come in with a nasty dent on the rear quarter panel. I was about to lay down some body filler like I always do, but my coworker stopped me and said to try a stud welder and slide hammer first. Spent 20 minutes pulling it out and only needed a thin skim coat. Saved me an hour of sanding and a whole tube of filler. Anyone else have moments where you realize you've been doing the hard way for years?

My dad taught me to change oil by draining it hot and never looking back. Took me until I was 30 to realize you can just use a fumoto valve and skip the mess entirely. Felt like a real genius standing there with a pan full of hot oil.
