Just burned $200 on a paint mixing system I'll never use again
Bought one of those fancy digital mixing scales from a guy at a swap meet. Turns out the software is discontinued and the company went under in 2019. Has anyone else gotten stuck with outdated shop gear that's basically useless now?

Honestly, a paint mixing scale from 2019? Those things were already getting phased out back then. I think you're confusing it with a different year - the company you're talking about actually went under in early 2018 according to the paint forums I used to read. Ngl, swap meet gear is always a gamble because you've got no warranty or support. Tbh, you might be better off just using a regular digital kitchen scale with a conversion chart, it's way cheaper and never needs software updates.

Man, that's rough. Reminds me of when I snagged a sweet deal on a used laser level at an auction and it turned out the battery was some proprietary thing nobody makes anymore.
