Just realized a trick for stubborn door dings after a brutal week of hail repairs

After fighting with a dozen hail-damaged doors in Denver, I found that heating the panel with a heat gun for exactly 30 seconds before using the glue puller makes the metal release way easier, has anyone else tried something similar?
