My paint gun filter clogged mid-job on a full repaint last Thursday. Had to improvise with a clean shop towel wrapped tight around the inlet.

A shop towel... you risked the whole finish with a shop towel? The lint from that thing could have ruined everything, sent fibers straight into the paint. That's a last resort move, like using a sock on an oil filter. How did the final coat even turn out? I'm surprised it didn't leave a weird texture all over.
