Pulled a 3 inch dent out of a Civic quarter panel with glue tabs and it actually worked
Customer brought in a '19 Civic last Monday with a pushed in quarter panel right over the wheel arch, quoted him $600 for filler and paint. Tried glue pulling instead of drilling and after about an hour of slowly working the tabs the metal came back to within a 16th of an inch. Anyone got a favorite glue for the colder months? mine got gummy below 50 degrees in the shop.
That temp thing is a pattern with a lot of stuff, not just glue. Everything works great in the 70s and then the second it drops the same product acts like a totally different thing. I've had caulk do it, spray paint do it, even my heat gun feels weak in the cold. Kind of funny how we blame the tool when it's really just the weather.
