Rant: My coworker swore by that flex additive for cheap paint jobs
Kevin in the next bay kept telling me to mix in that $30 flex additive with my clear coat. Said it would stop cracking on plastic bumpers guaranteed. I tried it on a 2018 Corolla rear bumper last Tuesday. Two days later the customer came back with spiderweb cracks all over it. Now I gotta strip and respray on my own time. Anyone else get burned by product hype from guys who never test it themselves?

Honestly, did your coworker actually test the stuff on a scrap bumper first or just read the bottle? Tbh I used to think flex additives were a must for plastic repairs, but a buddy of mine had the same exact problem you did. The clear came out looking like a topographic map two days later. It changed my mind real quick. Ngl, I think some products just don't mix well with certain brands of clear coat, and nobody talks about that.
