Shoutout to the guy who told me I was "fixing it wrong" in front of my customer
Last Tuesday this dude walks into my bay while I'm doing a bumper blend on a 2018 Camry. He taps the quarter panel and tells the owner that I should have pulled the dent before painting, not after. Customer canceled the job on the spot and I lost $400. Has anyone else had some random "expert" waltz in and mess up your workday?

Maybe it's just me but that customer sounds like they were looking for an excuse to back out. A random guy tapping on your panel shouldn't be enough to lose $400 unless they already had doubts. Idk, seems like the real problem was the customer being flaky, not some dude who probably doesn't know the difference between Bondo and bond paper.

Funny you mention Bondo because I got a story kind of related. My buddy had this old pickup he was trying to sell and this guy who thought he knew cars kept knocking on the quarter panel with his knuckle. Said the car was full of filler and walked away. My buddy just laughed because that panel was actually a replacement that was spot on from a junkyard. Some people hear one weird noise and get a hunch they can't shake. Flaky customers will find any reason to bail, even if it makes no sense to anyone else.
