Spent 6 hours chasing a door gap on a 2018 F-150 that turned out to be a bent hinge pin
Took me forever to figure out why the gap was off top to bottom until I finally broke down and put a straight edge on the hinge itself, has anyone else had a simple fix hide like that for way too long?

Honestly, isn't it wild how the simplest stuff can be the hardest to see? It's like when you're looking for your phone and it's right in your hand, or you spend an hour trying to fix a squeaky door only to realize you just needed to tighten one screw. Tbh, that's kind of how life works sometimes, you get so caught up looking for the big complicated problem that you miss the tiny, obvious thing staring you right in the face. Ngl, it's frustrating as hell but it always makes for a good story after.

That thing you said about looking for your phone while it's in your hand really hit home. I once spent a good 20 minutes crawling around my garage, tearing apart shelves and toolboxes, looking for a 10mm socket I had in my back pocket the whole time. My wife just stood there watching me, didn't say a word until I finally sat down cussing. She just pointed at my pocket and walked away laughing.
