Warning: dropped $400 on a paint thickness gauge and it caught a repo'd Camry at the auction
Bought a digital gauge for $400 last year and it paid for itself on one auction car, showed 18 mils on the roof where the rest of the car read 4 to 5. Seller swore it was never hit, so I walked and grabbed a different one for $600 less. Any of you run one at auction or do you just trust your eyes and a magnet?
