3 years ago I swore off used transmissions, but last month changed my mind

Back in 2021 I had a 2005 Civic that needed a trans, and I let a buddy talk me into a junkyard one from a salvage yard in Phoenix. It lasted maybe 4 months before it started slipping in 3rd gear, and I told myself never again. I stuck to reman units or new for any transmission job after that. But last month I had a customer with a 2012 Ford Focus that needed a transmission, and his budget was super tight, like under $800. I found a low-mileage pullout from a wrecked car on car-part.com out of a 2013 with only 45k miles, and it was from a shop in Tucson that specializes in Japanese and Ford stuff. The guy on the phone was super upfront, sent me pics of the tags and fluid color, and even offered a 90-day warranty. I put it in two weeks ago and it shifts perfect, no codes, no weird noises. Has anyone else had a good experience with a specific junkyard or seller that changed their mind on used parts?
