Found a brake bleed order that finally clicked for me

I stopped at a shop in Eugene last month to get my daily driver's clutch slave cylinder bled, and the older tech there showed me his trick. He starts with the farthest wheel from the master cyl, but he cracks the bleeder open with the pedal held down, then closes it before letting the pedal back up. I tried it on my own rig last weekend with a helper, took about 20 minutes for all four corners, and the pedal feel is way firmer than any vacuum bleeder I've used. Has anyone else tried this method, or do you just stick with pressure bleeders?

Man, that's a bold claim but I gotta push back on it. I've seen that pedal-down trick wreck more master cylinders than it's saved, especially on older rigs with crusty seals. Vacuum bleeders are slow but they don't blow out your seals or risk snapping a bleeder screw off.
