Had the worst Friday ever in my shop, turned into my best week
Last Friday I had a Jeep Cherokee come in with a mysterious misfire on cylinder 3. Swapped coils, plugs, injectors, even did a compression test and found nothing. Turned out to be a chafed wire inside the harness that I finally spotted after 4 hours of searching. That one repair earned me so much trust with the customer he brought in his whole family's cars over the next week, netting me an extra $1,200. Has anyone else had a nightmare job suddenly turn into a gold mine like that?

Man, that chafed wire is the kind of thing that makes you wanna pull your hair out. I bet you learned more from that 4 hours of tracing than you did from the last 10 easy fixes combined.
