Had to choose between a used Snap-on scan tool and a new Autel last month
I went with the Autel because it was $600 cheaper and so far it's handled everything from a 2018 F-150 to a 2005 Civic without any issues, but has anyone else found the interface a bit clunky for ABS bleeding compared to the high-end stuff?

And it's funny you mention that, because I've been noticing a similar pattern everywhere lately where the cheaper option does the job just fine but has this one annoying quirk that nobody warns you about (the interface thing drives me nuts too on my Autel). It's like companies save money by making the software feel like an afterthought while the hardware is totally solid for the price point. Kinda makes me wonder if we're all just paying a premium for smoother menus and better instructions on the expensive stuff.

The AutoZone near me has three different brands of wiper blades from $8 to $25 a pair and the $8 ones work exactly the same as the premium ones for about six months. Then they both start streaking around the same time anyway. @jason_stone it feels like we're in this weird era where cheap stuff is good enough on the hard parts but companies intentionally make the soft parts bad so you feel like you're missing something. Like how generic cereal tastes identical to name brand but the box crinkles wrong and the bag doesn't pour right. Just enough annoyance to make you wonder if you should have spent more.
