Heat gun vs. torch for rusted bolts, I'm done with the torch crowd
Three weeks ago in the shop we had a seized caliper bracket bolt on a 2012 F-150 and after 20 minutes of the oxy-acetylene dance I grabbed my $40 Wagner heat gun, hit it for 5 minutes, and it spun out with a breaker bar, so why does every old-timer here swear by fire when controlled heat without melting nearby rubber lines is just safer and faster for most jobs?
