I used to skip torque specs on lug nuts until I saw the damage firsthand

A buddy brought in his sedan last month with a wobble at 55 mph, and every single stud was stretched from overtightening with an impact gun. Watching him pay $180 for new hubs and studs convinced me to pull up the spec sheet every time now. Anyone else have a moment that made them stop guessing on torque?
