Spent 3 hours chasing a crank no start on a 2012 F150... it was a hidden fusible link behind the battery tray.

I tried swapping relays, tested the starter, even pulled the fuel pump fuse before I saw a little burnt spot on that inline fuse in the harness, has anyone else run into these hidden factory fusible links?

Feel your pain on this one. Spent a whole weekend chasing a no start on an old Silverado once, tested everything you could think of, and it turned out to be a fusible link hidden inside a factory loom behind the alternator bracket. Took a heat gun and careful prying to even find it. Those inline fuses they bury in the harness are just cruel. Glad you spotted the burnt spot before pulling the whole dash apart though.

Haha yeah @rowanbennett, found one of those in a Taurus once. Buried in tape near the firewall.
