That power steering hose blew on my Dodge Ram near Flagstaff at 70 mph yesterday

Had to wrestle the wheel into a gravel lot with zero assist and wait 3 hours for a tow, anyone else ever had a high pressure line let go on a steep mountain grade?

Damn, three hours in the heat waiting? That's rough. Did your Ram have that factory hose with the shitty crimped fitting that always lets go when you're loaded? Asking because mine did the same thing pulling a trailer near Sedona. Had to replace the whole damn line with a Gates hose.

Read somewhere that those factory crimped hoses are a known weak spot on the Rams, especially when you're pulling heavy. I think it's the heat cycling that makes them crack over time. Heard a lot of guys switch to a silicone hose kit after the first blowout.
