Watched a master mechanic swap a clutch in 45 minutes flat last week

I was at Rons Auto down on Main Street getting my truck looked at, and this older guy finished a full clutch job on a 2015 Civic in under an hour. Ngl, I felt like a fool for spending 4 hours on my own car the last time I tried it. What single tip shaved the most time off your clutch swaps?

Man, that's impressive. The biggest time saver for me was getting one of those impact-rated spline sockets and a good impact wrench, it makes pulling the axles and bellhousing bolts a joke compared to hand tools. Once you stop fighting rusty or stuck fasteners with just a ratchet and a breaker bar you cut like an hour off right there.

Oh man, preach! I learned that lesson the hard way. I spent like a whole afternoon fighting a bellhousing bolt on my old F-150 with just a breaker bar and a lot of swearing. Finally caved and bought a decent impact and a set of spline sockets, and now I feel like a chump for all those hours I wasted. My knuckles are finally starting to forgive me, lol.
