Finally sold on enclosed transport after a rock chip nightmare outside Reno
I always thought enclosed was a waste of money for a daily driver, but last month my buddy's Mustang got a windshield crack and three hood chips on an open carrier through I-80. He paid $850 more than my open quote, and after seeing the damage I'm booking enclosed for my truck next week. Has anyone else had open transport damage that made them switch?

Funny thing is I ran the same math and figured open was fine until a rock the size of a pea turned my hood into a connect-the-dots puzzle. That $850 premium starts looking like a deal when you're staring at a $1,200 paint repair bill. Lesson learned, my truck gets the fancy ride from now on too.
