Learned the hard way about loading ramps after a car slid off in Phoenix

I was hauling a Subaru from Phoenix to Tucson last summer and a 10 degree ramp angle sent it sliding into the dirt, so now I always check the ramp grade with a level before loading.

Dude that's brutal. Had almost the same thing happen with a Jeep Cherokee outside Flagstaff. Was rushing, didn't check the angle. That ramp started bouncing and the Jeep went sideways into a ditch. Took a tow truck and two hours to get it out. Now I'm paranoid too. I always walk the ramps first, test them with my weight. Carry a small level in the truck now. Lesson learned hard.

Agree @ryan_sanchez but walking on ramps feels sketchy to me, I just use jack stands instead of faith.
