Paid $800 extra for enclosed transport and got a scratched bumper anyway
Hired a broker to move my project car from Phoenix to Portland, paid extra for enclosed thinking it was safer. When it showed up there was a 6 inch scratch on the rear bumper and the driver claimed it was there before pickup. Has anyone actually had luck getting a claim paid out from one of these brokers?

Did you take before pics of your own? I'm a little too trusting with stuff like that, last time I paid extra for "white glove" delivery they basically threw my toolbox down the driveway like it was a basketball. @linda305 is spot on about going after the insurance company directly though, I did that after the broker ghosted me for two months and got a check surprisingly fast. Learned my lesson the hard way, now I take video walkarounds before the truck even leaves the lot.

Oh man, that is so frustrating! I had something similar happen with a broker moving my old Kawasaki from Denver to Seattle. I took a ton of photos right when they dropped it off and made the driver sign a note on the delivery receipt saying the scratch was new, even though he argued with me. What finally got them to pay was I filed a claim directly with their insurance company, not the broker themselves. The broker kept stalling but the insurance company actually processed it in about 6 weeks. I also emailed the broker a link to my timestamped photos on Google Drive so they couldn't claim I faked anything. It took a lot of follow up but I got a check for $350 to cover the body shop estimate.
