Shipping my lifted Tacoma from Denver to Austin: open trailer or enclosed?
I finally said yes to a job in Austin and had to move my lifted 2019 Tacoma from Denver last month, so I got quotes for both an open trailer at $850 and an enclosed one at $1,450. I went with open, and honestly the truck showed up with just a little road dust and a couple of bug splats, nothing close to the horror stories I was bracing for. For those who have done a long haul with a lifted rig, would you pay the extra $600 for enclosed next time or was open fine for you too?
