Trusted a sketchy broker to ship my Miata and somehow it worked out

Ngl, I was fully expecting my car to end up in a chop shop when I paid a random $500 deposit to some guy named Vinny, but my Miata showed up in Phoenix 4 days later without a scratch. Has anyone else taken a gamble on a cheap transport quote and actually got lucky?
