Cleaning cannon plugs with a cheap ultrasonic jewelry cleaner actually works
I picked up a $40 ultrasonic cleaner from a jewelry supply shop in Tulsa for my wife's rings and tried dropping a nasty cannon plug in it with some electrical contact cleaner. Twenty minutes later the pins came out bright and the resistance readings were steady on the first try, which never happens when I'm picking at them with a brush. Has anyone else used one of these on connectors, or am I risking damage to the plating over time?
