Got called out on my wire routing by a lead at the Phoenix hangar

Honestly, my old supervisor Mike told me my bundles looked 'like a rat's nest' after a 737 APU check last month. I started using a 3-inch piece of heat shrink as a marker every 18 inches before tying, and it's way cleaner now. Anyone else have a simple trick that made a big difference in your harness work?

Honestly, that heat shrink trick sounds like extra work for not much payoff. A tight bundle with the right ties is what matters, not little markers. Sometimes a lead just has a personal pet peeve.

I had a job where a lead's "pet peeve" turned into a whole rewire because he hated how I ran the bundle.

My first harness looked like a spider's hangover.
