Had a stubborn intermittent fault on a G1000 autopilot trim servo. The manual said to check the whole harness, but I just cleaned the cannon plug contacts with a specific solvent we had in the back (Chemtronics Flux-Off, actually) and it's been solid for a month now.

Flux-Off is for electronics, not connectors. That stuff leaves a residue. Should have used a proper contact cleaner like DeoxIT.

Oh, I don't know about that. I've used Flux-Off on plenty of connectors over the years and never had an issue with residue as long as you let it dry fully. DeoxIT is great stuff, but sometimes you just need a quick clean without the extra steps.

What about just using some isopropyl alcohol on a q-tip?
