Logged my 500th wire pin crimp on a Garmin G1000 install today and it hit me

Makes you wonder how many of those crimps will outlive the plane itself... The little things we do often last way longer than we expect. Kind of a cool thought for a Tuesday.

That's 500 more crimps than I've ever done, my hands hurt just thinking about it lol.

Oh man I gotta push back on that one haha. I mean, is it really about the crimps or is it more about what they actually do? 500 crimps sounds like a lot but like @taylor.amy said maybe some of them will outlive the plane but that also means they could fail way before the plane does if they weren't done right. Idk, I'd rather have a few really solid connections than a bunch of random ones that might not hold up under pressure.
