Vent: the old lead at our Baton Rouge hangar told me to slow down on a wiring job, and he was spot on
He watched me rush a connector repair on a King Air and said 'son, one pin done right beats ten done twice,' and now I keep a little notebook of dumb shortcuts I used to take so I stop making the same mistakes, anyone else got a mentor line that still rattles around in their head?
Figure it depends on the job. I had an old timer tell me something close to that, and I nodded along, but honestly some days the clock is the clock. You get a plane that needs to go out and a boss breathing down your neck, and "done right" starts to mean "done right now." Keeping a notebook of your own mess ups is smart though, I'll give you that much.
