Why does nobody talk about the environmental hit from always upgrading avionics?

Some techs say it's just how it is, but I've seen shops that try to reuse old parts. What do you think?

Feel you, that waste is a huge issue they ignore.

Ugh, totally! It drives me crazy. I saw a documentary about how that e-waste just piles up in towns overseas, poisoning the ground and water. They just dump it and forget it because it's not in their backyard. Makes me so angry that companies can get away with that.

Caught an article on all the e-waste getting shipped overseas. It's out of sight, out of mind for them, I guess. Pretty frustrating how little gets done.
