After months of debate, my sister and I picked a backpacking route together

We always argue about where to go because she likes easy trails and I want harder ones. This year, we found a route with both simple parts and tough side paths. We sat down with a map and talked through all the options without getting upset. It felt good to finally make a plan we both liked. Now we're looking forward to our time out there, and I'm glad we worked it out. Just a small win that made planning way less stressful, lol.

Mapping out every trail option seems like overkill for a walk in the woods. It's just hiking, not a military campaign. Can't you guys just pick a direction and go? The whole formal planning session sounds exhausting for something that's supposed to be fun.

Oh man, you guys really needed a map to plan a walk in the woods? I guess sibling stuff can get weird.

Maps prevent arguments when siblings can't agree on trails.
