Heard a park ranger talking about the Lost Coast Trail in California
I was grabbing a map at the King Range visitor center and overheard a ranger tell someone the full 25 mile stretch is only passable at low tide for about 4 hours a day. I always thought it was just a tough hike, but that timing makes it a whole different kind of trip planning. Anyone have a good system for tracking those tide windows on a multi-day trip?

Only passable for 4 hours a day" sounds less like a hike and more like a timed escape room challenge.

Lol reminds me of that one trail that floods if you're not back by noon.

That one trail near the bridge took me three tries to get the timing right. What worked for me was starting at dawn and setting a strict turnaround alarm on my watch. @river_rivera45 would've called it a game show challenge too.
