I wasted $40 on that fancy suet feeder that claims to be squirrel proof

Saw this metal cage suet feeder at the hardware store in Portland that had some spring loaded bars. Thought it looked solid and the guy said nothing could get past it. First day out a gray squirrel figured out how to hang upside down and just shake it until the suet fell out. Lost the whole block in about 20 minutes and the feeder itself got bent from the shaking. Anyone else had a suet feeder that just straight up lied about being squirrel proof?

Got screwed over by one of those too. Bought a "squirrel proof" suet feeder from a shop in Eugene, had these little metal bars that were supposed to close when something heavy climbed on. Worked great for about a week until a raccoon just ripped the whole thing off the tree branch and ran off with it. The suet was gone and the feeder was a mangled mess on the ground. Total waste of money and honestly kinda funny looking back at it.

Respectfully, raccoons outsmarting your feeder makes it work as intended, just differently.
