My brand new feeder lasted exactly 3 days before a squirrel cracked it
I bought a so-called squirrel-proof feeder from the hardware store on Saturday, and by Tuesday morning it was on the ground in pieces. The little guy chewed through the plastic base like it was butter, probably took him 20 minutes tops. I ended up grabbing an old metal tube feeder from my shed and stuffing it with sunflower seeds just to keep the birds happy. What do you all use that actually holds up against these determined critters? I'm about ready to build a cage around my whole setup.

Metal tube feeders are the only thing that works for me. The squirrels give up pretty quick once they can't chew through it.
