Putting out orange halves brought a flash of color I wasn't expecting

I started leaving orange halves on a platform feeder a couple weeks ago, and now orioles are showing up every morning. I mean, idk if it's the right time of year or what, but they're totally new to my yard. Maybe it's just me, but should I swap the oranges for something else once they're gone? I don't want to scare them off.

What's in season where you are? Might be worth looking up their migration habits to time it right.

Yeah the part about looking up migration habits actually made me rethink things. I used to just go by broad seasons and got frustrated when I missed stuff. Then last spring I tracked hummingbird patterns for my area after seeing your point, and it was crazy how precise the timing was. Totally changed how I plan hikes and photo trips now. I owe you one, @rowan_black, that was solid advice.
