Remembering my old plastic birdbath versus the shallow stone one I got last spring
The plastic one was a chore to scrub and the birds ignored it, but the rough stone basin gets refilled daily by a pair of robins. What's the best thing you've added that actually gets used?

My birdbath upgrade was a solar fountain, which the birds love (and I love not scrubbing). It's basically a tiny water park for sparrows now, which is more action than my old dish ever saw. My only regret is not getting one sooner, before I spent all that time cleaning a bird-free zone.

Totally get that struggle with the plastic ones. I had a bright blue one that just grew algae constantly and felt so cheap. Switched to a simple clay pot saucer on a stump last year and the difference is crazy, it's like a tiny bird cafe now. Makes the whole cleaning routine feel worth it when you see them actually using the thing.
