Tried leaving a dead tree stump in the corner of my yard for woodpeckers and got a family of flickers nesting within two weeks

I figured they'd just peck at it for bugs but they actually hollowed out a cavity and raised three chicks in there, has anyone else had luck leaving snags standing?
