Warning: that bargain bag of mixed seed from the feed store in Boise was mostly milo
I picked up a 40 lb bag for $12 last month and the finches and chickadees wouldn't touch it, just scratched it out of the tray onto the lawn. Switched back to straight black oil sunflower and the feeder's empty by Tuesday now, so what's your go-to cheap mix that doesn't get ignored?

What ratio of millet to sunflower do you usually see in the cheap mixes that actually work? The bags I checked listed millet first, which seemed like a red flag. Curious if your birds clean up the white millet or leave it behind too.
