Appreciation post: My old way of dealing with a bad day versus just going outside

I used to just sit on the couch and scroll, which made everything feel heavier. Last Tuesday, I forced myself to walk the dog around the block, and the fresh air completely reset my mood. Anyone have a go-to quick reset like that when the day starts to tank?

Totally get that. Sometimes just standing on the porch for five minutes does it, especially if the sun's out. Even a dumb little chore like watering the plants can break the cycle. It's like your brain needs that tiny physical task to stop spinning.

Tiny physical task to stop spinning" is a nice idea but honestly, sometimes my brain just keeps spinning anyway. I tried the watering plants thing last week and just ended up overthinking the whole time, like if I was doing it wrong. It feels like a nice theory that doesn't always pan out for me.
