Appreciation post: the bus driver who waited an extra 20 seconds in Portland

Honestly, I was having the worst Monday, missed my transfer by 2 minutes, and was already picturing a 45 minute wait in the rain. Then the next bus pulled up and the driver saw me running, cracked the door and said 'hop in, I saw you coming.' That tiny bit of patience flipped my whole mood, so my question is, has anyone else had a stranger's small kindness completely turn their day around on the spot?

Honestly, hearing that the driver basically waited out of pure kindness kinda blows my mind. Tbh, most of the time I feel like bus drivers are on a tight timer and any extra second is a big deal. That little "I saw you coming" bit, that's the part that gets me. Like, they actually noticed you and chose to help, that's not something you see every day.
