Can we talk about the barista who called a bad morning for what it was
I was in line at a coffee shop on 5th in Columbus and this guy spilled his whole iced coffee on his laptop bag and just stood there frozen. The barista handed him a towel and said "sir, this is a bad morning, not a bad life" and gave him a free refill. It sounds dumb written out, but it got me thinking, what's the small thing someone said to you on a rough day that actually landed?
A free refill on a spilled drink is just good business, honestly, and "bad morning not a bad life" is the kind of line that only works because the guy was already having a rough one. Tell me that same thing to someone stuck in traffic on 5th and they'd probably just get mad.
