Dropped $220 on a used snowblower in Buffalo and it turned a miserable morning into a good one
Three winters back my old shovel finally gave out on me after a big storm dumped 14 inches overnight. I found a guy in Cheektowaga selling a used two stage for $220 and figured it was worth a shot. That thing fired up on the second pull and cleared my driveway in about 25 minutes, which normally would've eaten my entire morning and left my back wrecked. Now I'm wondering if I should've bought one a decade sooner, so did any of you put off a purchase way too long and then kick yourself for it?
Man, I gotta respectfully disagree on the whole "should've bought it sooner" thing. In my experience buying gear before you actually need it just means it sits in the garage collecting dust, and half the time the thing breaks right when you finally go to use it. Kicking yourself after the fact is easy, but past you made a call with the info past you had, and the $220 worked out when it counted, so that's a win.
