I finally realized why my dogs were so jumpy during nail trims

For two years I thought they just hated the dremel tool. Then a client mentioned her dogs calm down when she talks to them the whole time, so I tried it last Tuesday and three dogs just stood there like it was nothing. Anybody else miss the obvious stuff like that for way too long?

Took me three years to figure out peanut butter works better than yelling.

Disagree completely. Yelling is way more direct and gets results fast, peanut butter is just a messy distraction. Tbh, if you're dealing with a stubborn kid or a fussy pet, a loud firm voice cuts through the noise way better than some sticky spread. Ngl, I've seen too many people waste time with treats and bribes when a simple shout would've solved it in seconds. Peanut butter teaches them to wait for a reward, not to listen to you. Honestly, if it took three years to figure that out, you were probably way too patient from the start.
