I finally stopped overcomplicating my laundry sorting

Used to sort everything by color and fabric type, took like 20 minutes per load. Last year after ruining my favorite hoodie in hot water I just said forget it. Now I throw all cold water stuff together, darks and lights mixed, no issues in 18 months. The only rule I keep is towels separate because of lint. What changed was realizing my washing machine does the work if I let it. Anyone else just dump everything in one load and hope for the best?

What about things like bleach or items that visibly bleed dye though - have you ever had anything get ruined in that 18 months?

@Saraho48 one load ruined my white undershirts pink and I just accepted the pink life
