My morning was a disaster until I tried a 5-minute rule I saw online
I woke up late, spilled coffee on my shirt, and missed my bus. I was ready to just call the whole day a loss. Then I remembered a post about a '5-minute rule' where you just pick one small thing to fix. I took five minutes to change my shirt and make a new cup of coffee at home. That tiny win stopped my bad mood from getting worse. I even caught the next bus and got to work only 10 minutes late. Has anyone else found a quick trick that actually stops a bad morning from ruining your whole day?

Oh man, that's such a good point. It's like that small action breaks the chain of bad luck before it can really get going. I've started doing something similar by just making my bed right away, even if everything else is a mess. It forces a tiny bit of order and makes the rest of the chaos feel a little more fixable. That five minute reset is the difference between feeling like a victim of the day and feeling like you still have the wheel.

Yeah spilling coffee is basically a rite of passage at this point. Like the universe is testing if you're really committed to having a good day. My go to trick is just loudly complaining about it to my cat for exactly 30 seconds. She doesn't care but it gets the frustration out. Then I pretend I'm in a movie montage where the main character fixes their life in under two minutes. Works about 60% of the time but that's better than zero.
