Rant: The free museum day downtown turned into a zoo
I took my sixth graders to the City Art Museum on their free admission Tuesday. It was packed to the point where we couldn't even see half the exhibits. But here's the thing - the staff were so helpful they gave us a private tour guide for 20 minutes. Does a crowded museum with great staff beat an empty one with rude workers? What do you all think?

Holding the spot for a 20 minute private tour with 20+ kids in a packed museum is a win in my book. Staff that steps up like that makes the whole experience feel worth it, even when it's a mob scene. An empty museum with rude workers just makes you feel like you're bothering them for existing. Plus, crowds mean the place is actually being used by the community, which is the whole point of free days. So yeah, that museum earned some real respect by handling the chaos well.

So how'd the kids handle waiting that long without losing it?
